• Description: Designed by Aldo Cipullo (1942-1984) in 1971, Cartier's 'Juste un Clou' bracelet is industrial-inspired, minimalist and androgynous. 'Juste un Clou' translates to 'just a nail' and despite it's minimalism nature, the design, along with Cipullo's 'Love" bracelets, quickly became one of Cartier's most iconic and recognizable motifs. During the time period from which it came, it was considered very avant-garde to turn such a common object into a fine jewel. The full 'Juste un Clou' line, which includes various styles of rings modern interpretations of the original bracelet, debuted in 2012, commemorating Cartier's 165th anniversary. Shortly after, in 2017, Cartier expanded the line to include earrings, cufflinks, and a Torque necklace. Today, nearly 50 year later, this motif continues to be a favorite amongst Cartier loyals and Cipullo fans alike due to its wearbility and versatility. These earrings are a fabulous diamond-studded interpretation of one of Cartier's most iconic designs.
