Description: "With the animal shelter crisis reaching a fever pitch in the United States, animal advocacy is more crucial than ever. All sentient beings deserve to be free from abuse, neglect and endless suffering. This calendar is a small effort to that end. I encourage everyone, at the very least, to research how buying a dog from a breeder or pet store contributes to the horrors perpetrated against these innocent souls. Education is the 1 st step toward creating an enduring solution. My journey in animal advocacy was prompted by a profound emotional connection that I formed with a sweet, soulful pitbull type dog named Oliver and it continues to be fueled by the profound connection that I have formed with my daughter Julia, a sweet, highly intelligent, intuitive pitbull type dog. I would like to convey the deepest gratitude to all of the amazing athletes who have donated their time and effort in making this calendar a reality for it’s 11th shining year. An honorable mention has to go to Sergi Constance for bringing me to Spain to photograph him for the cover and for using his massive platform to support this project. I would also like to thank all of the parents and fosters who traveled great distances to bring their earth angels to be a part of the Mutts and Muscles 2025 calendar. I am humbled to have award winning typographer, Paul Sych, take time out of his schedule to do the amazing graphic design on this year’s calendar.
